SPECIAL XMAS PRESENT FOR HER MAJESTY

The Queen is looking forward to a very special Christmas present this year, the birth of her eighth grandchild. Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex (the Queen's youngest child) and his wife Sophie (the Countess of Wessex) are expecting their second child which is due on Christmas Day. The couple already have a four year old daughter Louise and are eagerly awaiting the newest addition to their family. Sophie is being closely monitored, after Louise's traumatic birth in 2003 which almost resulted in the deaths of both mother and child. The new baby will be eighth in line to the throne.

Thanks for the congrats at Blog Village. Was actually surprised as being Summer and either out or offline due to lightening storms I was very lazy with my blogging in November :)

Glad to see the Queen will have something to smile about this Christmas. Harry must be giving her real headaches...was here recently snorting vodka (dangerous as can cause brain damage) and then I see he coerced the English rugby captain to drink although he hasn't for years. Time he grew up.

Prince Edward seems to have escaped the media's attention for the most part. That's rather nice.

Thanks for your kind thoughts Miss T. I'm sure Edward and Sophie will appreciate them.

Your blogs are finally getting the credit they deserve Jackie. Well done! I agree both Harry and William must cause the Queen a lot of worry. It will be nice for her to have another grandchild and a wonderful Xmas present.

Yes being the Queen's youngest son, Prince Edward has been able to live the majority of his life out of the spotlight Sheila, unlike his older brothers and sister.

Yes it is exciting Janey. I'm sure Sophie and Edward will appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
