GOVERNMENT BID TO MAKE MATHS MORE INTERESTING

The government is launching a bid to make Maths more interesting for today’s youngsters. Education Minister Alan Johnson wants researchers to find ways to make Maths more fun. Mr Johnson believes that it is vital to stop youngsters from losing interest in Maths at school. He would like to see maths problems based on things that appeal to youngsters like football, fashion and the Olympics! It would certainly be a big change from the algebra and equations which I learnt in my schooldays!
