The London Eye is definitely one of the jewels in London’s crown and has proved immensely popular with tourists since it was first opened in March 2000. With over 3 million visitors going on the Eye every year, the famous landmark now attracts more visitors than either The Taj Mahal or the pyramids at Giza. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the city from the world’s largest ferris wheel, which is situated on the south bank of the Thames. The Eye is popular with many famous and public figures too.
