Looks like the same system will be hitting Southern California this weekend! We are supposed to get snow at the 7000 ft level and lower by Saturday!

Happy New Year if I haven't said so already, Naomi. It's cold here too with the morning temperature at 10 F. I miss the warm winters of Alabama but at least this is bearable.

I am surprised at that Janey. I never thought you got snow in California.

Happy New Year Sheila! I know what you mean, having the weather too hot is just as bad as it being too cold, although I would settle for a bit of warmth at the moment!

My children are deeply disappointed at the lack of even a bit of snow yesterday, despite the predictions!

Hi Alastair

I'm sure Katherine and Jack were deeply disappointed at not being able to make a snowman! I live in the North West and we only had a very light dusting of snow here and then heavy rain which washed it all away!

Happy New Year, Naomi, and all the best in 2008, if I haven't already wished you the best! I hope you weathered the Ice Storm...those aren't fun at all! So much damage to trees.

Happy New Year to you and Graham as well Marion. Actually we were very lucky and only got a very light dusting of snow where I live. Then it started to rain heavily and washed it all away. I hate it when the trees and flowers get battered and damaged with the weather.
