LIVERPOOL HOTTEST TRAVEL DESTINATION

Liverpool has made a surprise entry in the list of the hottest travel destinations of the year. The European capital of culture beat other more exotic locations like Thailand and Sri Lanka to make the top ten. 14,000 people were questioned in the poll.

Liverpool is indeed a great city with lots to see and do. As many of you know, Liverpool is home of the Beatles. It’s also home to some of the friendliest people in England. If you’re planning a visit to Liverpool, make sure you drop by the Cavern Club, (where the Beatles made their debut), whilst you are there. Apart from the Beatles connection, there are also museums and art galleries to explore on a rainy day or why not take a ferry ride across the Mersey or head to The Maritime Museum. This is apart from the wealth of shops and stores. A day really isn’t long enough to see everything! For more information on Liverpool, please follow the links below:-

Nice to know that the Cavern Club is still there. So many historically important music clubs in the U.S. such as CBGBs in NY are closing, losing a piece of history.

That would be nice isn't it? If one day I could visit Liverpool. The Beatles was one of my favorite group.

It's always a shame when that happens Jon. The Cavern Club is very popular and attracts thousands of visitors every year. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed your visit here.

What an amazing trip it would be, to visit the Cavern Club, where it all started, and to sit up on the roof at Apple Records, where they did their last live performance!!

I published my first post of '08, a Blog Village edition of Surfer's Paradise. No surprise here, you're in!!

Hope you have everything ready for the winter wind to roll in. Stay warm.

Being a Beatles fan, you would love Liverpool Tony. I'll go over and check out the details on Surfer's Paradise. Thanks for the mention. Doing my best to keep warm, it's windy and raining here!
