Former James Bond actor Sean Connery has been named as the greatest British hero in a poll carried out by amusement park, Thorpe Park. The theme park plans to name seats on a new rollercoaster after the country’s top 20 heroes. Olympic rower Steve Redgrave came second in the poll, with chef and champion of school dinners Jamie Oliver coming third.
