THE QUEEN NAMED POWERFUL WOMAN

The Queen has been named as one of the most powerful women in the world in a list compiled by Forbes Magazine. Her Majesty who was at number 23 on the list is one of only three British women to be featured. The other two women named were Clara Furse, Chief Executive of the London Stock Exchange and Zaha Hadid, an Iraqi born architect.

Yes Her Majesty is this country's greatest asset. Long may she reign over us.

I was surprised by the fact Her Majesty was a number 23, the influence she exerts is much greater than that which can be measured by business and commercial methods - but I guess Forbes can only use those criteria.

She has quite an influence on me, as she is my boss! She comes just after God on the official hierarchy of management for the C of E :-)

Hi Alastair, yes I was surprised her Majesty came in at no. 23 too. I think it probably is down to the way Forbes measure this. Indeed as head of the Church of England, the Queen exerts a great deal of power. I'm sure you are proud to have both her Majesty and God as your "boss" Alastair.
