HOGWARTS EXPRESS WRECKED BY VANDALS

The Hogwarts Express, the train used in the Harry Potter movies has been wrecked by teenage vandals as it stood in a depot at Carnforth in Lancashire. The train is now in need of the boy wizard’s magic touch, after 230 windows were smashed causing £50,000 worth of damage, which will take several weeks to repair and could result in job losses if other repair work has to be left. Hammers used to shatter the toughened glass windows were left at the scene. Six youths were seen fleeing but so far no arrests have been made. The train carries Harry and his school friends from London’s Kings Cross to Hogwart’s in the fictional movie adventures. I personally can’t believe how anybody can do something like this. Youths who do things like this have no respect for anything or anybody. It is just wanton destruction. They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it.

Naomi, my son Scott will be interested to hear this story as he is still a hugh Harry Potter fan even as he's about to graduate from high school. He's rereading the last novel in anticipation for the last. I love the timing of this passage and think I might blog about it. A light went off.

I hope they catch the culprits. I don't know what gets into some young people. I don't know if you recall but there were some college kids from Birmingham (Alabama) Southern University who burned down several rural churches. It's nuts.

They should get the House of Slitherin put a curse on them >:-(

Sad that vandals can do such a thing.

Hi Sheila

Glad I gave you some inspiration for a blog post there. I hope they catch the culprits responsible too. Some youngsters are just intent on destroying other people's property. It's happening everywhere now.

Hi Jackie

I agree they should get the House of Slitherin to put a curse on them.

It is so sad when something like this happens. Unfortunately it's a sad sign of the times Jackie.
