HARRY HEADS FOR BROADWAY

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is set to reprise his role in the controversial play Equus, when it opens on Broadway later next year. The actor confirmed this week that he was terrified at the prospect of taking the play to Broadway, as he believed the American audiences to be a lot more discerning than the London ones.

I personally don’t think Daniel has anything to worry about. He got rave reviews from his co-stars and critics when he made his West End stage debut in Equus, appearing naked in the lead role of a tortured teenager in the gruelling psychological thriller. I’m sure Daniel will have no trouble in wowing the audiences on Broadway too. Daniel is currently promoting his new movie, “December Boys”, his first non-Potter film which is due to be released this month.

I wish him a great deal of success in America. We do tend to like British imports.

I am so glad to see that he is putting himself out there and taking chances. So many of the young stars are unwilling to do that and their careers end with their youth. I am sure he will overcome being Harry Potter and have a long and successful career.

Ya think?

Extremely disturbing play--he can probably handle the role but what will his usual fans think?

I'll have to check that out. I think Daniel has a brilliant career ahead of him...on both sides of the pond!

Hi Sheila, I think Daniel will do very well in the States.

Hi Marsha, Nice to see you again. I think it's good that Daniel is trying different things. He has a very promising career ahead of him

Hi Daisy, Daniel handled the role very well in London despite it being a demanding role in a disturbing play. I think his fans admired him a lot because he wasn't afraid to try something different. I hope you enjoyed your visit here.

Hi Rick, Yes I'm sure you'll enjoy the play if you get a chance to go and see it. It was a great success here in London.
