BRITISH SCIENTISTS' LIVER CANCER BREAKTHROUGH

Liver cancer kills nearly 3,000 people in the U.K. every year. There are currently no licensed drugs available to treat it in this country. However this situation is about to change after British scientists made a major breakthrough this week, bringing new hope to liver cancer sufferers. Medical trials conducted at five British hospitals with the drug Nexafar have shown “incredibly exciting results” in improving the survival rates of liver cancer patients according to researchers. The drug is already licensed to treat kidney cancer.
