Princes William and Harry have given their first U.S. tv interview to publicise the 1st July Wembley stadium concert they have organised in their mother’s memory. In the interview with NBC news reporter Matt Lauer, the Princes stated that their biggest ambition is to continue Princess Diana’s legacy. Harry who is normally shy and retiring, did most of the talking during the interview, stating that the past 10 years since their mother’s death had gone by really slowly for both him and William. William stated that the pain of Diana’s death has never gone away for either of them. The Princes also gave a warning to any prospective partners. When they were asked if their positions as second and third in line to the throne make it difficult to form relationships, William replied that they both came with “a lot of baggage!”
Both boys are certainly a chip off the old block. Diana would be very proud of both of them. The boys are a credit to the Royal family. They should be grateful that Diana was their mother and instilled such great values and lessons into both of them. The interview is due to be broadcast in the States next week but eager viewers can see a preview on
Today Show which will be released this Friday.

Thanks for the heads up, Naomi...I will be sure to watch for it. Those two boys certainly are a credit to Diana and the family.
I will always remember the date of Princess Diana's death...it was shortly before my own daughter died. Ten years goes so quickly.
They are both great. I just wish Harry didn't drink so much even when he has to report on duty a few hours later. Not sure if you also get the hundreds of pictures we get showing him under the weather even when he was on a working holiday here.
Either his family or the Army need to sort that out before it become a major problem. He is obviously still suffering from his loss and hasn't been given the support he needs.
HAVE A FOOD WEEKEND
Naomi, I saw a photo of the interview and was struck by how much William looks like his mother. Princess Diana really did capture the world's heart and I'm glad to see we will remember her through her sons.
Thanks for stopping by Marion. Yes 10 years has gone by quickly, however as you know well with your beloved daughter, we never forget our loved ones, although time is a great healer.
Hi Jackie, I think you hit the nail on the head, I believe that neither William or Harry have been given the support they need since their mother's death. Also the press always tends to show them in a bad light anyway. I personally don't believe they go out drinking half as much as we are led to believe.
Hi David,
Thanks for stopping by. You have a great weekend too.
Hi Sheila,
Yes William does bear a great resemblance to his mother. Both boys have a similar caring nature to their mother. Diana would have been very proud of both of them. I'm sure between them they will continue her legacy as the Queen of Hearts.
