It's funny how toys come and go. I was sad to hear of the demise of poor old Action Man, a sad casualty in the current toy wars. The Action Man figures have been around for over 40 years. I remember my brother had one when he was growing up. They used to be really popular. Sadly Action Man with his old fashioned worn out equipment couldn’t compete with the likes of Spider Man and the Star Wars figures with their high tech gadgets, which today’s kids prefer. It was a no-win situation. So long Action Man, you will be sadly missed.

With so many parents bragging that their children are great at surfing the web at ages of around three and upwards I can see many of the toys and games we loved disappearing.

Rather sad.

Yes and it's such a shame Jackie. But unfortunately it's a sad reflection of the world we live in now. Today's children prefer high tech gadgets rather than toys.
