POSTAL STRIKES SET TO DISRUPT DELIVERIES IN U.K.

A postal strike is looming with Royal Mail facing its first national strike in 11 years after talks over pay and job cuts with postal workers have broken down. The Communication Workers Union announced that its members would go on strike for 24 hours on 29th June with possible further action to follow. The strike will cripple postal deliveries across the U.K. Royal Mail have announced they will try and resolve the situation but workers argue the postal service are intent on cutting services, jobs and pay and are refusing to negotiate.

Wow, its been a long time since you've seen strikes like that! Hopefully it won't be too disruptive. Tube strikes were always the worst in my opinion.

BTW- thanks for stopping by, I've also added you to my blogroll. Thanks Naomi!

Tube strikes are always the worst Rick, especially for people who rely on public transport to get to work. Hopefully the postal strike won't cause too much disruption, fingers crossed!

I am agree with Naomi, Strike can be good for some people but not for all. everything get affected by it. Your daily rutine gets disturbe, by postal strike urgent mails, letters documents will get delay. Christmas wishes, gifts and parcels will get delay. would you like this? In this case it is a responsibility of the private curier companies to take care about their customer's be belongings. And try to maintain their trust. Hopefully the postal strike won't cause too much disruption.
