HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Today is Earth Day, a good opportunity for everyone to think about how they can do their bit to save our planet, help prevent global warming and save the environment for future generations. Earth Day was founded in 1971 by American Senator and environmental activist Gaylord Nelson, with the aim of uniting people all over the world in the quest to save the planet. Even small changes made by several people the world over can make a big difference. Some examples of how we can be more “green” are shown below:-

1. By not leaving tv, dvds and computers on standby
2. Switching to energy saving lightbulbs – you’ll save money too!
3. Washing clothes at lower temperatures
4. By cycling or using public transport rather than using the car
5. By recycling household rubbish as much as possible
6. By insulating our homes and turning the heating down – you’ll save money
too!

Of the seven items you list we are batting a hundred! I am working on my youngest son to train his grey mare to pull one of the buggies so that I can drive her around instead of driving my van! I need to see if I will be able to drive her to the post office and grocery store legally...I don't think that will happen but I can drive her every where else and in the parades!!!
