BLUE PETER GOING GREEN

British cult children’s tv programme, “Blue Peter”, changed its name to “Green Peter” on Wednesday afternoon, to highlight the problems of climate change and global warming. This is the first time the programme has changed its name in 47 years of being broadcast. I loved that programme and grew up watching it in my childhood. Wednesday’s episode of the show was broadcast from the Blue Peter garden, focusing on how young viewers can help the environment. Fortunately the name change is only for one day. It’s probably just as well. I’m all for saving the planet but “Green Peter” just doesn’t have the same ring to it as “Blue Peter!”
